Should I be able to bench my own weight?

I was wondering if I should be able to bench my own weight. I'm roughly 5'7 and weigh 155 lbs at age 15. I have gym equipment that i've been playing around recently. So do you think I could be able to bench 155lbs?

Definitely but not anytime soon. If you just started, I say start by practicing with the bar itself (around 40-45lbs). From there you can add few 10lbs on each side, (60-70lbs total). If you keep up with a routine, you can hit around 110-120lbs by 3 months. By 3-10months, you should be hitting 150lbs. Then you can reach 180lbs+ by a year or two. It takes time. At age 15 your body is still growing so don't over-do it. And make sure you have a SPOTTER!
